Distinctive Living Announces Strategic Reorganization: Introducing Senior Vice Presidents for Health & Wellness and Quality & Risk Management

FREEHOLD, NJ — September 11, 2025 — Distinctive Living, a leading senior living management company, announced an innovative restructuring of its executive team with the bifurcation of its Senior Vice President of Health and Wellness and Senior Vice President of Quality and Risk Management. The strategic reorganization underscores Distinctive Living’s commitment to elevating resident care, clinical outcomes and AI-enhanced predictive technology as well as increased capture of level of care.

Devi Patel, a veteran in senior living with over 16 years of experience, was appointed as the Senior Vice President of Health and Wellness. Patel joined Distinctive Living five years ago following a successful tenure at Milestone Retirement Communities. Patel holds a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration from St. John’s University and is a licensed Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA).

In her new role, Patel will oversee clinical staffing and training and uphold clinical competencies with a focus on increasing clinical revenue via innovative care pricing strategies. Among her many initiatives is a quarterly training program for Distinctive Living’s care partners, advancing them to Certified Med Aids (CMAs).

“With enthusiasm and a commitment to resident care and clinical outcomes, the status quo can be challenged and a meaningful difference can be made,” said Patel.

Carol Griffin assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Quality and Risk Management. Griffin, a Western Kentucky University graduate, brings 25 years of experience in quality control and risk management to her role. She will focus on ensuring all teams comply with organizational processes and policies while overseeing electronic incident reporting systems and regulatory state visits and compliance. Griffin will also be instrumental in promoting accountability using a proactive approach to risk management and compliance.

According to Distinctive Living’s Chairman and CEO Joe Jedlowski, “This change represents our commitment to using technology to improve clinical outcomes. Along with Distinctive’s AI-enhanced predictive tools, we believe achieving excellence in these areas correlate to increased level of care capture.” 

The creation of these two roles represents a forward-thinking approach in senior living management and a renewed focus on innovation in health, wellness, and risk management. By adding talent to these critical areas separately, Distinctive Living aims to set a new standard in resident care and operational excellence.
