VINELAND, NJ — May 6, 2026 — Live Well Senior Living and Distinctive Living today celebrated the official groundbreaking of Live Well Cottages at Vineland, marking a major milestone in bringing an innovative new approach to senior living to Southern New Jersey.
Local officials, project partners, and community members gathered at the Vineland site to commemorate the start of construction on the 130-unit 65+ cottage community designed to serve the growing and underserved middle-market senior population.
The event highlighted the significance of the development not only for Vineland, but for the broader senior housing industry, where flexibility and access to senior living remain pressing challenges.
A New Category of Senior Living
Live Well Cottages at Vineland introduces a distinct model centered on private cottage homes, pocket neighborhoods, and integrated home care, offering residents independence with support when needed.
Set across approximately 25 acres, the community will feature thoughtfully designed neighborhoods that foster connection and socialization while preserving independence and privacy.
City of Vineland’s Mayor Anthony R. Fanucci, city leaders and project partners emphasized the importance of the development for the Vineland community, bringing new housing options, economic activity, and a forward-thinking approach to aging.

Delivering a New Standard of Value
The Live Well model was created specifically to serve middle-income seniors, a rapidly growing segment that often falls between subsidized housing and traditional private-pay communities.
With a thoughtful approach that combines private cottage living, built-in home care, and community amenities, the model is designed to deliver a more balanced and predictable senior living experience and one that supports both lifestyle and long-term peace of mind.
Each cottage residence will include access to the community clubhouse with fitness center, bistro and bar, along with amenities such as a playground and dog park, and two hours per week of in-home care that allows residents to age in place without disruptive moves.
Early Momentum Through Founder’s Club
The groundbreaking also marks the launch of early leasing through the Founder’s Club, which offers prospective residents the opportunity to reserve a cottage during the development phase with priority access and exclusive benefits. Early interest signals a strong demand for a more flexible senior living option in the region.
Founders will choose from a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans within walkable neighborhoods and shared green spaces.

Live Well Cottages at Vineland is a 130-unit, cottage-style independent living community with supportive services situated on 25 acres in Vineland, New Jersey. The project will be developed in phases with initial cottage neighborhoods expected to be delivered in August 2026. The leasing center is located at 1179 E Landis Ave, Suite 100, Vineland NJ 08360 and currently accepting deposits for The Founder’s Club.
